2012 Springtime Children’s Imagination Playdates!

Meets 3/3, 3/10, 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5

Ages 4-5:Meets Saturdays: 12:30 – 1:30pm or 4:00 – 5:00pm or Sundays: 2:00 – 3:00pm
Ages 6-7:Meets Saturdays 2:00 – 3:00pm or Sundays: 12:30 – 1:30pm or 4:00 – 5:00pm

Meets for Ten Weeks every weekend in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn
at the Center for Anti-Violence Education, 327 7th Street off Fifth Avenue!

In this class, children will:

- Explore creative play through theater games, build friendships and sense of self!
- Build their own shows developing character and language development!
- Perform favorite fairytales!

For every three children who attend the Children’s Advanced Puppetry Workshop from a specific school, that school will be awarded a FREE professional development workshop in the Fall of 2012 for all students, parents, teachers and faculty.

Bio on class teacher:

Kris Lundberg serves as the President, Founder and Artistic Director of the Shakespeare’s Sister Company. For the past ten years, Kris has worked as a professional actress and teaching artist with several nonprofit theater companies in the five boroughs of New York. In 2000, Kris was awarded a community award for her puppet show “scamper and champ: that toured the North Carolina coast teaching children about coping with grief caused by the devastation of hurricanes. In 2009, she was awarded the “certificate of appreciation” plaque by CAMBA for her Women’s Theater Workshop Program. This past year, Kris was nominated for both the Brooklyn Do-Gooder Awards and the Union Square Awards for her Arts in the Shelters outreach program. Kris holds a Bachelor of Science in Theater Education from East Carolina University.
