Join the Shakespeare’s Sister Company for a day of good old Greco-Roman bacchanalia in a Dionysian Scavenger Hunt where everyone’s favorite childhood game becomes the ultimate downtown party!
Get ready to party like it’s 500 B.C.
1:00 – 1:30pm Participants meet at the Arch at Washington Square Park to receive their Secret Hunt Packet!
- Arrive decked out as your favorite God or Goddess and receive a free raffle ticket!
- Come with a team or be grouped into a team upon arrival
1:30 – 4:30pm And they’re off! Revelers are unleashed into the East Village and surrounding areas, answering riddles and finding hidden gems!
4:30 – 8:00pm Gods and Goddesses will be directed to our post-hunt secret after party victory celebration with themed games, raffles, prizes (such as the Greek God Grand Prize), silent auction, food and merriment!

Formed in 2008, The Shakespeare’s Sister Company (SSC) is a not-for-profit theater organization supporting women in the arts. Our commitment is to produce established works and new plays by female authors, as well as by Sir William Shakespeare. Our mission is to address global change through the theater, including workshops with the community and literacy for youth.

Submit your best title for the chosen photos on 4/13 and 4/20 and the winner will automatically be entered in our Scavenger Hunt Raffle! Your deadlines are Sunday, 4/15 and 4/22 at 5:00pm EST. The winner will be announced on Sunday evening.
